Hello there my crafty friends! Today I have for you simple crochet skirt tutorial. I do love crochet but creating crochet pattern is something that is very new and challenging for me but I will keep trying. I am curious and excited to see myself grow in something that I am not comfortable at, Let's see.

Materials:
- Crochet hook size F 3.75 mm
- 4 Medium-weight yarn
- Button
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
ch - Chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
blo - back loop only
sl st - slip stitch
sk - skip
st(s) - stitch(es)
Notes:
-This pattern is (US Terms)
-The skirt is worked flat, back and forth in rows.
-The chain at the beginning of each row does count as a stitch.
-To avoid the gap at the beginning of the row I use Alternate Turning Stitch instead of Ch3.
Crochet Easy Skirt for 14-inch Doll
Foundation: Ch 12, Turn.
Row 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in the 2nd from the hook, sc in next 3 ch, hdc in next 4 ch, dc in next 4 ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc) dc blo in next 4 sts, hdc blo in next 4 sts, sc blo in the next 4 sts, turn.
Row 3: Ch1, 1 sc blo in next 4 sts, hdc blo in next 4 sts, dc blo next 4 sts, turn.
Repeat Row 2 and Row 3 until you have 25 rows.
Make skirt opening & Buttons holes
Fold the skirt in half. Join the seam by working through both layers sc loosely in each of next 6 st, turn inside out.
On the left side of opening continue to sc in next 3 sts, ch3, sk 2, sc in the last st, ch1, sc in the same st, turn.
sc across the waistband until reaching the other side.
On the right side of opening ch1, turn, sc in the same st, sc in next 5 sts. Fasten off.
Sew in the buttons and weave in ends.
Crochet Easy Skirt for 18-inch Doll
Foundation : Ch 18, Turn
Row 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in the 2nd from the hook, sc in next 5 ch, hdc in next 6 ch, dc in next 6 ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch3 (counts as dc) dc blo in next 6 sts, hdc blo in next 6 sts, sc blo in the next 6 sts, turn.
Row 3: Ch1, 1 sc blo in next 6 sts, hdc blo in next 6 sts, dc blo next 6 sts, turn.
Repeat Row 2 and Row 3 until you have 41 rows.
Make skirt opening & Buttons holes
Fold the skirt in half. Join the seam by working through both layers sc loosely in each of next 10 st, turn inside out.
On the left side of opening continue to sc in next 2 sts, ch3, sk 2, sc next st, ch3, sk 2, sc in the last st, ch1, sc in the same st, turn.
sc across the waistband until reaching the other side.
On the right side of opening ch1, sc in the same st, turn. sc in next 8 sts. Fasten off.
Sew in the buttons and weave in ends.
